Full-time Luxembourg / Mainly Remote

Senior .NET / WPF Developer

HumanInTech

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET / WPF Developer to join a client assignment in Luxembourg.

The role is mainly remote, with occasional on-site presence in Luxembourg when required.

You will work primarily on Windows-based business applications, with a strong focus on C#, .NET and WPF. We are looking for someone who can quickly understand an existing application landscape, work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.

The role is not primarily SQL-focused. SQL knowledge is useful, but the main emphasis is on .NET application development.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications using C# and .NET
  • Build and evolve user interfaces using WPF
  • Analyse existing applications and identify pragmatic improvements
  • Translate functional requirements into maintainable technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
  • Work with SQL databases where required
  • Contribute to technical decisions and software quality
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and business stakeholders
  • Use GenAI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging and technical analysis
  • Leverage AI tools to increase development speed while maintaining code quality, security and maintainability
  • Use GenAI pragmatically to understand existing codebases, generate implementation options and reduce repetitive development work

What we are looking for

  • Strong professional experience with C# and .NET
  • Hands-on experience with WPF
  • Experience with Windows desktop application development
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to quickly understand existing applications and codebases
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong can-do mentality
  • Based in Belgium or Luxembourg
  • Professional English, combined with French and/or Dutch
  • Comfortable working mainly remotely, with occasional travel to Luxembourg
  • Hands-on experience using GenAI coding assistants as part of the software development workflow
  • Able to critically review, validate and improve AI-generated code rather than blindly relying on generated output
  • Curious about new AI-assisted engineering practices and able to apply them pragmatically
  • Focused on using modern tooling to deliver better software faster

Nice to have

  • Experience with MVVM
  • Experience modernising legacy .NET applications
  • Knowledge of APIs and application integration
  • Experience in enterprise IT environments
  • Experience working in international teams
