What to expect

Why & how we give a damn

We treat our freelancers the same way we treat our employees, so we invest in them too. Why? Because it's good for you, for the company and for our customers.

People are our only asset

We are in the people business. We invest heavily in recruiting, developing and retaining great people — and aim to hire only the top 25%.

Treated like we'd want to be treated

Fairness, respect, honesty and transparency. A competitive benefits package. And the freedom to be the authentic, unique you.

Room to grow

A continuous journey of self-improvement with extensive personal feedback, for hard skills and soft skills alike. We grow our people to recognised mastery.

Autonomy and ownership

You are the face of our company at the customer. We empower you to make decisions, get things done, and get credit for the results.

We fail forward

We all make mistakes, and that's ok. We won't blame you — we'll support you to learn from it and move on.

Fun along the way

You spend about 20% of your life at work. Better do it with a purpose, with great people, having fun along the way.

The recruitment journey

Four steps, no surprises

Every step is explained below — no hidden rounds, no surprises. Employees go through four steps, freelancers through three.

Step 1 of 4

Self-reflection

Yes. We know. We're starting off on a very serious note. But then again, you spend a lot of your valuable time at work, so we'd say it's pretty important to think through what you want to do, why, where and how you want to do it, and who you want to do it with.

Starting a job search can be an exciting but nerve-wracking process. Before diving into the job market, take a step back and reflect. That way your search is well-informed, strategic and aligned with your personal and professional aspirations, both short and long term. Try to understand how important aspects such as work-life balance, career progress and financials are, and how they rank against each other. Be brutally honest with yourself — it will help you find the right opportunity at this point in your life and career.

  1. 1
Clarify your career goalsUnderstand what you want out of your career, what motivates you, and what kind of environment you thrive in — so you can focus on positions and companies that align with your aspirations. And maximise the fun you have at the same time.
  2. 2
Identify your strengths and weaknessesUseful for the roles you apply for, for tailoring your CV and for preparing interviews. Maybe you excel at creative problem-solving but struggle with time management, or you work with enthusiasm on some projects but not on others.
  3. 3
Evaluate your transferable skillsUnderstand the skills you've developed over the years and the ones you still need — technical skills and architectural concepts, but also communication, teamwork and leadership.
  4. 4
Improve your self-presentationReflection helps you decide how you want to present yourself: CV, online presence and interviews. Even if you don't know certain things (yet), you'll show that you've thought things through.
  5. 5
Enhance your personal growthIdentify areas for personal and professional growth. Recognising your weaknesses and understanding your desired path lets you set goals and become a stronger candidate.

Don't worry if you find this a difficult exercise or can't make up your mind. As Baz Luhrmann put it in Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen): the most interesting people didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives — and some of the most interesting 40-year-olds still don't. Just narrow it down a bit, and understand when and where you're really having fun at work.
