What you will do
You will join the asset planning team within the network management directorate of a Belgian energy network operator. The team is responsible for the budgeting process for assets across five disciplines (electricity, gas, public lighting, district heating, and heat networks), following asset management guidelines.

- You will assist in developing the budget and multi-year investment plan, both technical and financial, to provide quality support to internal clients and the organisation
- You will set up a basic structure in Databricks according to organisational standards and migrate the current Excel-based solution to a central database
- You will ensure that budget changes are tracked historically, including through SCD Type 2, with sufficient traceability of adjustments, decisions, assumptions and scenarios
- You will advise and support the asset planning team in decision-making and controlled data entry via interfaces and bulk uploads
- You will provide support in training and communication about the information and processes
- You will act as an independent facilitator and coordinator, monitoring the coherence of information and processes within and outside the network management directorate
In a later phase, you may also contribute to building an interface on top of Databricks.
