What you will do
You will provide first-line ICT support to colleagues within a local government organisation, helping them with a wide range of technical questions and issues. Your work ensures that staff can continue their daily tasks without disruption.
Your responsibilities include:
- Offering first-line ICT support to employees, assisting with technical questions, malfunctions and user problems in a client-focused and efficient manner
- Installing, configuring and maintaining computers, software, peripherals, and fixed and mobile telephony
- Ensuring new employees have the necessary ICT resources available and that existing equipment continues to function correctly
- Carrying out various administrative tasks within the ICT department
What we are looking for
You have proven experience as a helpdesk professional and can work independently while communicating clearly with colleagues at all levels.
Essential:
- At least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a first and second line helpdesk professional
- At least 3 years of experience with the relevant technologies
- Fluent in Dutch (CEFR level C2)
- Strong communication skills
- High degree of independence
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of ITIL Service Support
- Experience with standard PC installations
- Knowledge of Office and Office 365 (first and second line)
- General Active Directory knowledge (first and second line)
- General Windows knowledge (first and second line)
- Basic networking knowledge
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a local government setting
The setting
This is a full-time contract until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of extension. Part-time arrangements (minimum 60%) can be considered.
The role is based at a local government authority on the Belgian coast. Limited remote work is possible, but most tasks require on-site presence.
The ICT department is currently operating with reduced staffing, so your contribution will be particularly valuable in maintaining service continuity.
