What you will do
You will be responsible for defining, evolving and governing the target architecture of a digital platform that spans mobile, web and backend-for-frontend (BFF) layers. Your role ensures the platform remains scalable, secure, extensible and maintainable while enabling internal and external teams to contribute through a consistent integration model.
Working closely with product owners, engineering teams, enterprise architecture and business stakeholders, you will translate platform vision into actionable architecture and delivery plans. You will actively contribute to technical decisions, proof-of-concepts and MVP validation.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Defining and maintaining the target architecture across mobile, web and BFF layers
- Defining architectural principles supporting platform scalability, extensibility and maintainability
- Defining integration patterns, platform boundaries and contribution models
- Ensuring consistency across mobile, web and integration layers
- Aligning platform architecture with enterprise architecture standards and security requirements
- Providing technical leadership to engineering teams
- Facilitating technical decision-making and architecture governance
- Defining API and integration principles
- Evaluating technologies, frameworks and architectural approaches
- Identifying technical risks and defining mitigation strategies
You will also support architecture spikes, proof-of-concepts and MVP initiatives, review and challenge technical designs, coach engineers, support onboarding of platform contributors and partners, and work with product owners on backlog refinement and prioritisation.
