What you will do
You will work as a business analyst within a traffic technology programme, focusing on a project that ensures the integration between dynamic speed signs and fixed speed cameras. Your main responsibility is to analyse the current state of server usage, camera infrastructure and existing software solutions, and help design the future state with a view to redeploying existing solutions and equipment.
Your key tasks include:
- Ensuring that requirements and standards are clearly documented for the assigned traffic initiatives
- Developing and documenting processes to enable a streamlined handover to the operational team
- Identifying tasks, dependencies and risks
- Reporting progress to stakeholders: status, issues, bottlenecks, risks and proposed alternatives or mitigations; maintaining decision logs
- Setting up and maintaining quality management plans to ensure project deliverables meet required standards
- Documenting information in a structured way, with a view to anchoring and transferring knowledge
You will also contribute to longer-term vision work, helping to define the parameters of a stable traffic technology ecosystem for future expansion. You will stay informed about new developments in sensor technology and relevant legislation, and provide input for data protection impact assessments and other analyses when needed.
You will build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders such as core users, IT architects, project managers, data experts, functional analysts and software engineers. You take an advisory and facilitating role towards both management and operational services, and you can switch quickly between different topics depending on changing priorities.
