What you will do
You will join the Finance Function of a major Belgian bank to support an end-to-end Basel IV aftercare campaign, ensuring a sound and robust business-as-usual CRR3 process with a focus on Risk Weighted Assets calculation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the regulatory capital programme focused on Risk Weighted Assets (RWA)
- Performing data analysis, including ad-hoc data extractions from Risk and Finance data sources to support RWA analyses
- Coordinating data collection initiatives and supporting relationship managers in this process
- Contributing to methodological solutions for RWA (e.g. impact of collaterals) and following up on their implementation
- Contributing to data quality assessments and remediation initiatives impacting regulatory capital calculations
- Performing functional, regulatory and process analysis across the end-to-end capital chain
- Coordinating one or more sub-projects, ensuring alignment between Risk, Finance, Corporate Banking, Data and IT
- Translating regulatory, business and risk requirements into functional specifications and implementation guidelines
- Supporting programme governance activities (planning, milestones, dependencies, risks, reporting)
- Providing ad-hoc advisory support to management across different domains (Corporate Banking, Risk, Finance, Data)
Your key deliverables will include data analysis outputs supporting RWA calculations and controls, functional analysis documents and business requirement specifications, workstream planning and status reports, risk and dependency logs, stakeholder coordination and advisory materials, and documentation supporting regulatory alignment and audit readiness.
What we are looking for
Experience and knowledge:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in banking
- Good expertise in Regulatory Capital / RWA frameworks (CRR/CRD, Basel)
- Proven experience in Business Analysis and PMO / coordination roles on regulatory programmes
- Solid understanding of Risk, Finance and Business processes
- Banking knowledge
Skills:
- Good data capabilities, including the ability to perform data extractions and analyses (SQL or equivalent)
- Ability to work independently in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Excellent documentation, structuring and communication skills
Languages:
- English: excellent (working language)
- French: fluent/good
Education:
- Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience
The setting
This is a freelance assignment starting in September 2026 and running until the end of March 2027. The role is based in Brussels with a hybrid working arrangement: 50% on-site and 50% home working.
